Thailand analogue

It was the day of my departure back to Thailand  when I met my Father and Mother for a glass of sparkling wine before I left. So my father left me a Rollei 35SE. Fortunately I had a spare film – a Kodak Gold 200 – for my Minox with me which I later inserted into the Rollei.

We also had this: pouring rain. But it becomes pleasant cool and there is a good reason to have a lazy day.

Rollei 35SE

All those photos are made with this camera. I already love it, but which one might be better, the Minox or the Rollei? It’s hard to say. The Minox has an automatic time (which is sometimes not really accurate), the Rollei “only” a coupled exposure metering. But in opposite to the Minox the Rollei also works with exhausted batteries, if necessary the sunny 16 rule may help. The Minox builds smaller and less heavy, the Rollei has the better lens. A clear draw, IMHO, i love both cameras!
